Alex and the AQ Hardwood team just finished our hardwood floor project and their work is beautiful! I agonized on how to choose a contractor for this job, ultimately selecting AQ Hardwood because of their good price, a feeling of confidence I felt from my interactions with Alex in the quoting process, and their excellent reviews. I am thrilled with the choice and would recommend them to anyone installing or refinishing Hardwood floors. For us they refinished about 1500 sqft of existing floors and installed another 1500 sqft new. We had a mix of red and white oak in the existing and they blended it so well. You could never tell the floors were not all installed at once. We were still living in the house throughout and the communication made it a painless process. The whole team did great work and arrived when expected. We were told when we could walk on the floors in the evening and Alex quickly answered all my questions. When we discovered an unexpected subfloor challenge, he explained options and made a recommendation which turned out great. AQ Hardwood Floors just gave our 27-year-old kitchen floor a second life, and I'm blown away. After three kids treating it like a skate park and years of plant water stains, it was rough. They refinished it step by step, didn't cut a single corner, and the result is flawless!! I now have a floor with an impeccable finish and  zero trace of the damage it once had. If you're on the fence, don't be. It’s more affordable than I thought it would be. Alex was on top of all the updates and next steps from start to finish and always going the extra mile. My experience with AQ hardwoods was excellent. I was getting my house ready to sell and needed the original hardwood floors refinished. Alex and his team were very communicative throughout the process and did an excellent job. I recommend them to everyone I know that needs flooring work done. Edit: After my floors were finished, I had painters come and essentially ruined the floors with paint from a sloppy job. The most professional contractors I've ever worked with in any trade! Alex is a great communicator and leaves no detail to chance. His skilled crews were always there exactly when he said they'd be and were a joy to have around. One aspect that sets them apart, I believe, was each phase having its own separate experts.
